My father passed away in October 2023. As I walked into the funeral home not knowing what to expect I was received with such care and compassion by Loreine Alamilo. Loreine took care of me through the funeral process all the way up to me picking up the death certificate. When I came for the wake, I saw a beautiful blanket as a gift from the funeral home. I will cherish that forever. Also, at the funeral service there were three employees there handling the casket and they were all very professional and focused on everything taking place without a hitch. There was a woman there gathering the cards from the flowers and she handed those to me with the sign in book and blanket at the gravesite. The same lady held my hand as I walked behind the casket as they put it in the van to be taken to my father's final resting place. Loreine requested some photos of my father to add to your website and people were able to leave kind words for the family. There will also be a tree planted in my father's name as another gift from Tillman's. I would use this funeral home time and time again and I'd refer you all too. Hello, First off I would like to say Tillman Riverside Mortuary has A+, five star service. I recently lost a loved one and I was referred to Tillman Riverside Mortuary to assist with the memorial preparations. When I tell you I loved and appreciated everything they did and had to offer us. The staff was amazing, their teamwork was outstanding and they were very professional, yet very empathetic. Mrs. Shadelle is an angel in disguise, she was extremely helpful, patient and compassionate of our loved one and family. Tillman Riverside Mortuary treated as if we were family and went above and beyond to see to it that we had a beautiful memorial ( which it was absolutely beautiful). They are all you need they offer everything from memorial services, obituaries, the most beautiful urns and casket selections. They offer veteran services, pre plans, traditional and no traditional funeral services, grief counseling, notary Public, in home arrangement counseling and many other services. Mr. Tillman and Riverside Mortuary, Buried my mother in 1985. He was the First Black mourtary in Redland Ca. His company did an amazing job on my, she looked so beautiful He has become our family, The wimbley family MOURTICIAN, WE really love Mr Tillman and his staff. they are the best you can find in CALIFORNIA. My mother passed away in 2013, and this is my first time realizing that I had the ability to leave a testimonial for TRM. There was so much care taken of me as the bereaved that I barely remember the full details of getting things all done. Exceptionally compassionate and caring service. What I do have left is a beautiful memorial blanket that is one of my most treasured pieces in my home, as well as this stunning urn that is the perfect reflection of my mother's presence. TRM is affordable, with above and beyond customer service. There have been a host of other family members that we have used TRM for our services before and after my mother and they are our family's number one choice for taking care of our loved ones. I am eternally grateful that my memories have nothing but pleasant experiences with the support and care of this family business. And I am always looking to support quality black-owned businesses as much as possible because it means something to the sustainability of our communities even during challenging times such as bereavement.

Hello Tillman family, I am now living in California with my husband and I just want to thank you for all the care you gave my uncle David Ford -Death December 2, 2016, and the beautiful blanket for him and my mom Betty ford who passed away June 3 2017. i just want to say thank you for your compassion and service render and care of our love ones. I used this funeral home for my mother because I was low on cash and was referred by a hospice that they do well for an affordable price. I was very please with the professionalism, hospitality & quality of work. The family is really in the business for the people and not the money. I even got some great add ons which weren’t expected. A gourmet breakfast for my family the morning we went to view mom and a beautiful blanket to greet us upon arriving to her viewing. I would recommend this establishment to anyone who wants a lot for a little. I will definitely consider pre arranging things for myself after such a pleasant experience with my moms services.

Words cannot express the gratitude we have for the ENTIRE Tillman Riverside Mortuary staff! Their services went above and beyond that of any other funeral home that I can think of. From the first meeting with Loreine to the moments the staff (I'm so sorry I can't remember their names, but it was three of them... the shorter woman with the ponytail, the really tall fella with the glasses and the not so tall fella 🤷🏾‍♀️💁🏾‍♀️... again, so sorry for not remembering your names but you guys were AMAZING) stayed with us as they lowered our mother in her grave and covered her casket with earth, our hearts were at peace knowing she was handled with nothing but respect and honor. And the way the hearse driver handled the drive from the church to the cemetery, you would've thought we were burying Aretha Franklin lol. He was so careful with her and we appreciate every bit of him for that. From the DEEPEST parts of our hearts, we are forever grateful for you all and everything you've done for our family.
