Philip Melvin Heck of Rowland Heights, CA died Thursday, December 31, 2020 at his home of 52 years of natural causes.
Phil was born June 20, 1944 in Pomona, CA. He was the eldest of five children born to Melvin Philip Heck and Alberta C Heck. Phil grew up in Walnut, California. Graduating from Los Altos High School with the class of 1962.
On June 5, 1965, Phil and Louann Parks were married in Las Vegas, NV. The couple was blessed with two children and their spouses: Shannon and Shawn Workman and Philip Anthony "Tony" and Willetta Heck as well as two grandchildren: Shawn Philip Workman and Cassandra Ann Workman.
In 1966, Phil was drafted into the United States Army. After serving his country in the Vietnam War for two years he was honorably discharged in 1968. 
Phil retired from Kraft Heinz after working nearly 35 years and enjoyed a long meaningful retirement he had worked so hard for.  
In his free time, Phil enjoyed being with his family, bowling, hunting, fishing and traveling. He was an honorable, loyal man who loved his family and country.  His family was the center of his life which created everlasting memories for them all.  
He was preceded in death by his parents Melvin Philip and Alberta C Heck.of Boulder City, NV; father-in-law James William Parks of Parsons, KS; sister-in-law Nancy Gay Shephard of Parsons, KS; and sister-in-law Vickie Lynn Heck of Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
Survivors include his wife Louann Heck; mother-in-law Joan Parks of Parsons, KS; one daughter and son-in-law, Shannon Noel and Shawn Madison Workman of Placentia, CA; one son and daughter-in-law, Philip Anthony "Tony" and Willetta Heck of Miami, OK; two grandchildren Shawn Philip Workman and Cassandra Ann Workman; three sisters and brother-in-laws Luana "Susie" and John Clime, Lynda and Tony Barrentos, and Cyndi and Rick Green and one brother Tim Heck and their families; one sister and brother-in-law Linda and Joseph Downey of Parsons, KS; along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and other family and friends.
