Linda Sara Duckett On July 3, 1949 in the city of Detroit, Michigan, God gifted the world with a little baby girl, who would grow to be a beautiful woman and blessing to all who knew her. She was born to mother Elsie "Schatzi" Berry and father Clarence William Brown. She was a wonderful granddaughter to William and Sara Palmer, Dolly Malone, and Garfield Brown. She was the big sister to little brothers Gregory Brown, Harry Benjamin, David Benjamin, and little sister Judith Kirkland. In high school she excelled at school and graduated on the honor roll in the class of 1967 at South Hills High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After graduation she went to college at Kent State University in Ohio. While there she met her eventual husband, Gerald Duckett. From that meeting, they eventually married and traveled around the country and world as Gerald was a member of the Air Force. From that marriage, Linda had three wonderful sons, Bryan Duckett, Aaron Duckett, and Keith Duckett. Even after Linda and Gerald split, she embodied the spirit and love of family that shone throughout her life, and made sure her sons had strong relationships with both parents. While she only had boys, she gained three wonderful daughters when her sons married Christiana (Bryan), Paulina (Aaron), and Ebony (Keith). Linda loved family and loved God, passing those traits on to her sons. She also loved reading, and had boxes of books she devoured, until she moved into the modern age reading on her Kindle, Ipad, and every other electronic device she could figure out. She was a fan of crossword puzzles, Murder She Wrote, and all those new shows streaming on her devices. She loved the tradition and warmth of the holidays with all of the family and all of her children gathered together. And her grandchildren! The smile on her face as she saw each new grandchild that would eventually call her “Mimi." Her seven grandchildren are: Bryanna Duckett, Julianna Duckett, Jordan Duckett, Elijah Duckett, Charlize Duckett, Naomi Duckett, and Mila Duckett. Most of her life, Linda worked in property management in various positions, and near the end of her working career was practically over qualified for each position. She faithfully attended Abundant Living Family Church in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, loving God. Linda was thoughtful, caring, outspoken and remembered everyone’s birthday “like clockwork"--sure to send a card, a note or call. She leaves behind a wealth of wisdom, knowledge, compassion, love for people, and faith in God which she instilled in all her children who have passed it down to their families. Although Linda will be physically absent from us for now and present with the Lord, her spirit will remain with us because she lives on in each and every one of our hearts
