Kiara Brokenbrough, our angel from the Lord entered this fallen world as a big, bright bundle of sunshine to Lori Gill Lacey and Ronald Draper. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior as a youth at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Pomona, CA. Kiara grew to absorb, test, challenge, help, heal and encourage people to not follow the things of this world but to seek God and His righteousness starting with her little brother, Ronald Draper II and baby sister, Jenya Draper. She is a light that documented her journey of embracing her gifts, talents and life to try new things, sharing with many while seeking her Godly purpose.
Early on Kiara documented in journals her thoughts, concerns, joys, pains, lessons learned and questions. She would seek wise counsel from those she trusted starting with her mom and big sister, Kurston Hollowell, her safe space. Her growth moved to a wise village in which she took the best of our testimonies and words, God’s Word, and sought to live a life honoring and pleasing to Him.
She walked in her purpose and met her soulmate, Joel Brokenbrough. She knew that he was her gift from God. As a couple, they grew each other to become strong, confident, caring leaders in the Kingdom sharing and documenting their story individually and collectively with others on social media and in person. They inspired so many along the way by giving all glory to God. They knew their assignment and chronicled often pearls of wisdom from their own growth. Kiara’s last assignment was the gift of her greatest creation, Jonah, a son for her beloved husband. Jonah, like his parents, is a fighter. He is inspiring his family members and NICU hospital staff with his remarkable improvement.
Please continue to pray for those our angel has left behind.
