The Life of David Rembert
David McKinley Rembert (Dave), was born to William Howard Rembert and Georgie (Green), on August 29, 1942 in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his father William Rembert and his Mother, Georgia Rembert, three brothers, William (Billy), Charlie and Robert (Bob) and one sister, Ella Mae Martin who fulfilled in the role of motherhood after their mother passed.
As a youth, Dave always loved sports and wanted to follow in the footsteps of his older brother, Bob. Bob was an outstanding athlete who he admired greatly and wished to emulate. Dave played football for one of the most highly recognized and dominate organizations in Highschool football till this day, the Aliquippa Quips. Upon graduation from high school, Dave decided to serve the Country and joined the Air Force.
After 4 years of military service, Dave with the aid of his brothers, (Charlie & Bob), relocated to California and soon became a student at UCRiverside.
Dave received his Bachelors degree from UCR and would use his degree to join law enforcement and become a Probation Officer. After serving 30 years as a probation officer he decided to return as a retired annuitant for 4 more years.
Dave loved sports, horse racing, music, bid whist and sharing this love with family and friends. It soon became an annual tradition to attend the Rembert's get togethers, in which Dave proudly hosted. He touched the hearts of many and had a special way of bringing people together.
Dave was a devoted husband, father and Papa to his granddaughter Nori. He was the support and provider for his family. Dave always wanted to put a smile on your face whether you were a friend or a stranger.
Dave leaves to mourn his passing, a loving wife, Michiyo Rembert of Highland, CA.; 2 daughters: Monisa Rembert (Jason) of Highland, CA.; Felicia Smith Atlanta GA.; 1 son: Soweto Rembert of Highland CA.; 1 granddaughter: Nori; sister-in-law: Ruth Rembert of Riverside, CA.; niece: Ayesha Lundy of Riverside, CA.; nephew: Richard Rembert of Sacramento CA.; and a host of family and Friends.
Dave went home to be with his Lord on May 2, 2024. He will forever be loved and will always hold a place in our hearts.
