Constance Druenate Warren was born to parents, Lorene Warren and Richard Williams, on November 19, 1953. She was educated through the Webster Parish school system in Minden, Louisiana until relocating to Los Angeles, California with her older brother, Roosevelt, and baby sister, Sonya, in 1970. Constance accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior, and her Christian faith was largely influenced by her grandmother, Mattie Warren.
As a young adult, Constance was a talented artist who could draw just about anything by sight. Constance’s other gifts included cooking and singing. On any given day you could hear her belting out songs by Aretha Franklin and Al Green. She was instrumental in raising her sister, Sonya, along with her own children. Constance will be remembered for her larger-thanlife personality, her laughter, her fierce loyalty and commanding presence. She said what she meant and always meant what she said.
Over the years she struggled with addictions and challenges that beset her best efforts, but she never gave up and ultimately found her way. She enjoyed a 34-year relationship with her partner and friend, Michael Baldwin. She reconnected with family and was able to enjoy get-togethers as well as spending time with some of her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
Constance’s illness seemed to happen upon her suddenly, and in the midst of terrible pain she steadfastly called upon the name of the Lord Jesus. The Lord heard her cry.
On Saturday, August 16, 2025, as the sun set, she entered into eternal rest where, as it is promised in Revelation 2:14, “God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
Constance was preceded in death by her mother, Lorene; father, Richard; son, Sean; daughter, Criss; and brothers, Roosevelt and Douglas.
She leaves behind to cherish precious memories her partner, Michael Baldwin; daughters, Emika Harris, Nykeia Reed, and Johnisha Warren; son, John Warren; brothers, Johnny Warren and Richard Warren; sister, Sonya Lincoln; grandchildren, Michelle, Arianna, Abriana, Myangel, Davion, Sekori, J’zyah, I’zayah, and De’jon; great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Brielle, Niisani, and Pryncess; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
