Alfreda Marie Taylor

Alfreda Marie Jones-Taylor was born in San Bernardino, California on September 17, 1956 to the parentage of Josephine Delores Jones and Alfred "Buddy" Jones. Her dad was a distinguished World War II Navy Veteran.

Alfreda was introduced to God and received her religious training at Carter Memorial Church of God in Christ. She professed her belief in and dedicated her life to Christ at an early age while a member of Carter Memorial COGIC.  She later became a member of Hope City Church.

Alfreda was educated in the San Bernardino Public Schools and was a graduate of San Bernardino High School. After high school graduation, Alfreda sought higher and greater educational opportunities by enrolling in San Bernardino Valley College.

After college Alfreda began her employment at San Bernardino Medical Center in the Pharmacy Department where she retired after over 40 years of loyal and esteemed service.

Alfreda met and married the love of her life, R. L. Taylor, Jr. and they remained a loving and inseparable couple for over 27 years.

Alfreda was preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by her loyal and faithful husband, R. L. Taylor, one daughter, three grandchildren, along with 2 two great-grand children.  Alfreda is also survived by a sister, Iris Jones (San Bernardino) and 4 brothers, Rodney Jones (San Bernardino), Robert Jones (Dayton, Ohio), John Jones (Las Vegas, Nevada) and Crence Cobb (Apple Valley, CA).  Her survivors also include nieces, nephews and a long list of other family and friends.
