Johnnie Ray Victoria was born on December 19, 1957 in Beaumont, Texas to Margaret LouBell, Victoria and Raymond Victoria. Johnnie grew up in a two family household. Johnnie had eight siblings total but 4 were older with their own families. Johnnie’s older sister had two children and they were 10 months apart from each other and growing up in the south in the same household just gave you more brothers and sisters. Many people migrated from Texas to California in the 60’s as did Johnnie and his family. Johnnie’s older sister Delcenia that moved the family to Venice, California in 1968. Johnnie early on attended the Venice California school district but then graduated from Santa Monica high school in 1975. Growing up in Venice, California in the 70s he’s spent a lot of time at Oakwood Park where he loved to play baseball and later on joining the marching club, the California Cadet Corp., it was trying times for Johnnie and his other siblings, they lost their father tragically at a young age therefore having to grow up and help his mother and the family. Out of his siblings, Johnnie was the only one that decided to follow in his father‘s footsteps and join the Army at the age of 18. Johnny never had a bad thing to say about anyone he had a heart of gold, and a smile that would light your heart. Johnnie really loved to Fish and enjoyed hunting too. Johnnie met and married Theresa Summers, although he did not have any biological children he was a father figure to many. Johnnie was a free spirit and had lived in many places through his military career Hawaii was one he really loved, then Kentucky, later moving to Oregon. Johnnie lived in San Bernardino County for years off and on and moved back recently. Johnnie then spent the latter part of his life in San Bernardino county with is younger sister Karen and family, sadly where he sunset on February 4, 2024.
